So, I got my copy of UMvC 3 today…
My favorite team, so far, has been Morrigan, Vergil, and Frank West.
Morrigan’s been a main of mine since MvC 1 and I’m finally starting to get used to her MvC 3 incarnation. Not to mention, some of her missions are helping me with some good combos. I use her soul fist assist because it leads to her performing the finishing shower in team hyper combos.
Vergil seems like a pretty good character, but I need more practice with him. I like his range and as I thought, he reminds me ever so slightly of Hayato in MvC 2, only with way better hyper combos. I’m using his judgement cut assist and it works okay, so far.
Frank west is awesome. His slide is great for getting in and starting combos and his shopping cart assist is awesome! Might be my favorite move in the entire game, or possibly in any fighting game. Not only that, but it is pretty easy to get him to level 4 or 5, if you can nail a team hyper combo.
I still want to try out Hawkeye, Ghost Rider, and Phoenix Wright, but this team is working pretty nicely for me, so far (against the computer, anyway). I just need more practice and then once I can find a decent job or win the lottery, maybe I’ll get some Xbox Live gold.
